6 Meters is Good!

Surprisingly, 6 meters has been pretty good recently. I worked Tom K5VH this evening down in Texas with a 57 report (EN80-EM00). Not too bad for not being in Es season! Tom said the band had been doing pretty well the past few evenings.

I tuned around the band and there were loads of stations between 50.085 (CW down there) to 50.160. When I jumped on the band was dieing out so I was only able to snag the one QSO before the bottom dropped out.

Get on the band and make some noise! You might be surprised with your results.

Note VHFdx.net seems to be down right now. I hope they get the map back up and running as that is one of the primary tools for VHF propagation, that I use anyway.
