Aurora Propagation - KG0VL

For those that are VHF operators, you may want to look in to this site by Jeffry KG0VL on chasing Aurora propagaion. I was made aware of the site through ARRL's "Surfin'" column on their site.

I find the site very interesting because I have had the pleasure and excitement of using Auroral propagation. Last year (2008) in the June VHF Contest I had my first exposure to it while I was up in Ontario, Canada myself (I go up there every summer, EN39). It was really a special occasion. I can't wait to work some Aurora again!

Also, I have done some roving before in a few of the VHF Contests and can appreciate the effort and weird'ness associated with driving down the highway with all kinds of aluminum rigged up to your truck! Only, I never drove 1,000's of miles in to the Canadian wilderness....

Have a look at Jeffry's site. I am sure it will capture some interest with you as well.
